E-invitationmaker ("we," "our," or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our website, mobile application, and SMS messaging services (collectively, the "Service"). E-invitationmaker is an RSVP and e-invitation platform that enables users ("Hosts") to create, send, and manage event invitations, including by SMS text message to their invited guests.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Name, email address, password, and, where provided, phone number when you create an account.
- Event Information: Details you provide for invitations, such as event title, date, time, venue, photos, and videos.
- Guest & Contact Information: Names, email addresses, and mobile phone numbers of guests that you (the Host) upload, enter, or import in order to send invitations and track RSVPs. With your explicit permission, we may access your Google Contacts for importing guest lists. Imported contact data is used only to populate your guest list and is not used for any other purpose.
- SMS Opt-In Data: When a guest or user opts in to receive SMS messages from us (for example, by submitting their mobile number through an RSVP form or opt-in checkbox), we collect the mobile number, the date and time of opt-in, and the source of the opt-in (e.g., event RSVP form, account signup, keyword reply).
- Usage Data: Device type, IP address, browser type, and usage analytics to improve the Service.
2. How We Use Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide, personalize, and improve the Service.
- Enable RSVP tracking, sending of invitations, and guest management.
- Send SMS messages as described in Section 4 below (invitations, RSVP confirmations, event reminders, and Host-initiated event updates).
- Facilitate importing contacts only when authorized by you.
- Communicate with you about updates, features, billing, or support.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Sharing of Information
- We do not sell or rent your personal data.
- Service providers may access limited data strictly for operating the Service (for example, cloud hosting, analytics, email delivery, and SMS delivery via our messaging provider Twilio). These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only to perform services for us.
- We may disclose information when required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of E-invitationmaker, our users, or the public.
Mobile Information Sharing (SMS Opt-In Data)
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service and SMS delivery, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
4. SMS / Text Messaging Program
By providing your mobile number and opting in, you consent to receive SMS text messages from E-invitationmaker related to the Service.
- Message Types: Messages may include event invitations sent on behalf of a Host, RSVP confirmations, event reminders, Host-initiated event updates (such as time, location, or cancellation changes), and account-related notifications.
- How Consent Is Obtained: Recipients receive SMS messages because either (a) the Host uploaded the recipient's number and represented to us that they have the recipient's permission to send event-related communications, or (b) the recipient directly provided their number through an opt-in form, checkbox, or keyword reply.
- Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on event activity. You may receive multiple messages in the lead-up to an event.
- Message & Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. We do not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier may.
- Opt-Out (STOP): You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send a confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent, except where required for transactional or legal purposes.
- Help (HELP): Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at info@einvitationmaker.com.
- Supported Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Availability may vary by carrier.
5. Data Storage & Security
- Data is stored securely using encryption in transit and industry best practices.
- Access to your Google Contacts is limited to the RSVP import process and is not retained beyond what is necessary to create your guest list.
- Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in records are retained only for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, and maintain proof of consent.
6. Your Rights
- You may access, update, or delete your account at any time through account settings or by contacting us.
- You may revoke Google Contacts access at any time through your Google Account Permissions.
- You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP.
- Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., California, EEA, UK), you may have additional rights such as access, deletion, correction, portability, and the right to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@einvitationmaker.com.
7. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.
8. Changes to this Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.
